Instructions for upgrading from GA2 to GA3

1. Download the FULL Version of GA3 - Not the update patches
2. Perform a backup in GA2
3. Install GA3
4. Open GA3 and log in using Admin / Admin
5. Go to the administration area and click on Backup / Restore Menu (bottom left)
6. Click on Restore from Last Backup
7. This will start the upgrade process
8. Once the upgrade has complete, activate GA3 using the details below.

The upgrade procedure for the network edition is the same, apart from the downloading.

If you are happy with the upgrade you can un-install GA2 from your system.  We do however recommend leaving GA2 installed for at least 1 week to ensure you find no problems with the data migration. 

If you are upgrading to GA3 from an earlier version of Garage Assistant, please be aware the process may take in excess of 1 hour to perform the upgrade. There have been a lot of modifications to the data structure in GA3 for improved performance and stability.

If any problems arise during the update rest assured that GA2 will remain installed / un-touched and can be used as normal. Please inform us of any issues using by email, or using our dedicated bug tracking section, you need to be registered on our forums (free) to post issues here..your members area log in will not log you in to the forums.

Network edition users will require a new CD for GA3, it is not possible to upgrade your current installation without this. A new CD will be despatched within 1-2 days following your upgrade.
